Run and jump a lot; it's the best way to avoid enemy attacks.

Get the Shining Laser built, armed, and upgraded before you try to tackle the final boss. It'll make things easier. 

The Medicine Bottle cures "numbness" in all its forms: poison, electrical shock, fire, and cold damage.
